- Marietta Tree Keepers is searching for volunteers for its December Tree Planting program. Volunteers of all ages will be accepted. The organization and volunteers will be meeting at Leo Frank Site on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 9:00 a.m. Volunteers are asked to dress for outdoor weather. (City of Marietta)
- A Cobb County Library staff member has been chosen for the Emerging Leaders Program. The program is provided by the American Library Association. Vidhya Jagannathan is a Senior Library Assistant at the North Cobb Regional Library. She is working on her Masters in Library Information Science and has a bachelor's degree in chemistry. - A Marietta man has been charged in connection to a crash that occurred on Saturday. Selvin De Jesus Herrera-Lopez, 31 years old, has been charged with reckless driving, open container, DUI, obstruction, tampering with evidence, following too close, and failing to maintain lane. Three people were injured in the crash that occurred on Cobb Parkway South. (Marietta Patch)
