- Marietta's Veterans Day Parade is scheduled for Nov. 11 on Marietta Square at 11:00 a.m. The parade will start at Roswell Street Baptist Church and continue through Marietta Square. It will end on Lawrence Street. The parade is hosted by the City of Marietta and the Kiwanis Club of Marietta. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- Marietta football was able to defeat Harrison on Friday night at Marietta's Northcutt Stadium. The game's final score was 31-7. Marietta will clinch its first region title since 2005 by defeating North Paulding this next weekend. The team is currently in sole possession of first place in the region. - One in five Cobb County voters has cast an early ballot. As of Friday, 106,928 Cobb County voters have cast an in-person ballot. Cobb County has 510, 490 registered voters. Statewide, 1.25 million voters have cast an early ballot — more than 20 percent of all registered voters. (Yahoo News)
