2025 MLB All-Star Game: Atlanta Serves As Host City
This year will be the first time in 25 years that Atlanta will host the MLB All-Star Game, featuring Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr.
ATLANTA, GA — The best in Major League Baseball will soon step up to bat at the 2025 MLB All-Star Game in Atlanta, but not before celebrities try their hand in a down-home softball matchup.
Baseball fans will start to gather Friday in Atlanta's Cumberland area for All-Star weekend in Cobb County, where MLB stardom will take the field at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday, July 15, at Truist Park. Mastercard will sponsor the big game.

Atlanta scored a home run in November 2023, when commissioner Rob Manfred first revealed MLB's intent to host the popular game in the heart of Georgia.
According to MLB in the past, this year will be the first time since 2000 that Atlanta will host the All-Star Game — dating back to when Derek Jeter won Most Valuable Player at Turner Field. The first All-Star Game in Atlanta happened in 1972 at Atlanta Stadium.

All-Star festivities will cover Truist Park, the Battery Atlanta and Galleria Centre, county officials said. They added traffic will be affected surrounding the Battery complex and the Galleria.

All-Star weekend will begin at 7 p.m. Friday with the HBCU Swingman Classic presented by T-Mobile, featuring 50 Division 1 student-athletes from historically Black colleges and universities.
The Capital One All-Star Village, All-Star Futures Game and MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game presented by Geico will follow suit on Saturday.
The All-Star Village, with live entertainment, batting cages and interactive games, will conclude Tuesday.
Atlanta-based "So So Def" founder and producer Jermaine Dupri and Atlanta Braves legend Javy Lopez are slated to be managers for the celebrity softball game.

Activities that will take place on Sunday include the 2025 MLB All-Star 4.4 Miler, MLB Home Run Derby X presented by Sage and 2025 MLB Draft presented by Nike.
The Gatorade All-Star Workout Day and T-Mobile Home Run Derby will occur on Monday before the All-Star Red Carpet Show on Tuesday afternoon.
