More Warrants Coming In Gambling Bust: Marietta Police

Police believe they've uncovered massive scheme involving organized gambling and possible money laundering.

MARIETTA, GA -- Police in Marietta said more arrests could come from an extensive two-year investigation into an alleged gambling enterprise that netted three arrests this week.

Law enforcement officials raided the Gantt grocery on Franklyn Gateway in Marietta, confiscating $250,000 in cash, eight computers, a cellphone, five luxury cars and a tote full of gold jewelry.

Investigators said that more search warrants are forthcoming as law enforcement officers concentrate on the impounded property and bank accounts linked to the suspects.

Law enforcement authorities have focused their activities on the Gantt store at 1033 Franklin Gateway suite No. 22 and a convenience store on Windy Hill Parkway, both owned by Khubab M. Hussain. His Douglasville home was also searched by authorities.

Also arrested were Sampson Tabor Beye, a Gantt employee, and Arif Muhammad, an employee of the store on Windy Hill Road. All three are charged with with felony commercial gambling.
