Murder Suspects, 2 Others Arrested On Drug Charges In Marietta

Police were tipped off to two murder suspects hiding in Marietta, leading to a home search and four people being arrested, they say.

MARIETTA, GA — Two murder suspects from Tennessee were arrested Wednesday evening in Marietta, police said Friday.

A search warrant executed at a Crestridge Drive home resulted in the arrests of four people from Memphis, Tennessee, Marietta Police said.

Officers arrested Lacameron Jenkins and Martavious Jenkins on several drug charges. Additionally, Memphis (Tennessee) Police issued outstanding murder warrants against the pair, police said.

They face two counts of murder and eight counts of attempted murder each in Memphis, police said.

Two women, Maria Jenkins and Jade Brown, now face drug charges after being arrested during the search in Marietta, police said.

Marietta Police said they were alerted by Memphis Police's Gang Unit on Wednesday that Lacameron and Martavious Jenkins may have been hiding in the Cobb County town.

When Marietta SWAT and the Special Operations Group raided the home, police said they found drugs in plain sight. MDMA, oxycodone, psilocybin mushrooms, THC gummies and more than 5 pounds of marijuana were seized, police said.

Charges were as follows, per Marietta Police:

  • Martavious Jenkins, 34: fugitive from justice, intent to distribute marijuana, intent to distribute psilocybin, intent to distribute MDMA, intent to distribute oxycodone hydrochloride scheduled II, intent to distribute tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) scheduled I
  • Lacameron Jenkins, 24: fugitive from justice, intent to distribute marijuana, intent to distribute psilocybin, intent to distribute MDMA, intent to distribute oxycodone hydrochloride scheduled II, intent to distribute tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) scheduled I
  • Maria Jenkins, 25: intent to distribute marijuana, intent to distribute psilocybin, intent to distribute MDMA, intent to distribute oxycodone hydrochloride scheduled II and intent to distribute tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) scheduled I (F)
  • Jade Brown, 19: intent to distribute marijuana, intent to distribute psilocybin, intent to distribute MDMA, intent to distribute oxycodone hydrochloride scheduled II and intent to distribute tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) scheduled I
