Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:

  1. Lenny's Hair Salon reports its being pushed out of its Marietta Square location by a new developer. The longtime Marietta Square establishment's owner, Len Thompson, reports he was told his business must leave the location by Apr. 1. Developer Bridger Properties is allegedly pushing out a number of businesses from their longtime locations on Marietta Square. The tenants claim the developer wants to use the locations for new restaurants. (WSBTV)
  2. Boru Ramen Noodle and Poke Bar will be opening its second location soon in Marietta. The new restaurant will be at 154 Roswell St. NE at the previous Fox Dogs location. The first location of Boru Ramen Noodle and Poke Bar is in Kennesaw. The Marietta location will be slightly smaller than the Kennesaw location and should open by the end of this month.   3. Marietta Mayor Steve Tumlin is asking the entire city to decorate for the Atlanta Braves' playoff run. The team managed to clinch the National League East Division and Mayor Tumlin cannot contain his excitement. To encourage the city to decorate, Mayor Tumlin is hosting a contest to declare a decorating winner on Thursday, Oct. 13 at the city's pep rally. The Braves will be playing the team that manages to win the National League Wild Card series – either the Phillies and Cardinals. (WSB Atlanta)
