Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:

  1. An officer with the Powder Springs Police Department used CPR to revive a Cobb County man on Saturday, Oct. 29. The incident occurred on Silver Comet Trail. The man went into cardiac arrest and Officer Yates performed CPR for over 10 minutes while waiting for paramedics. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  2. Two Cobb County college students report that mold has been growing inside their off-campus apartment, located at Town Village Apartments in Cobb County. The mold has started spreading to items inside the apartment. Tests did not indicate any black mold. The leasing company has allegedly taken multiple steps to rectify the situation. The tenants disagree with the company's statement. (WSB-TV)
  3. Cobb County election staffers will be collecting absentee ballots at various library branches throughout the county on Monday, Nov. 7. Absentee ballots can still be returned to the Main Election Office on Roswell Street on Tuesday, Nov. 8, before 7:00 p.m. The collection will be from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Click for a list of participating library branches.
