Police Investigating Fatal Weekend Marietta Crash

MARIETTA, GA -- Police are investigating a weekend fatal crash that happened on Atlanta Street at Old Clay Street. Eddie Ross, 52, of Marietta, was killed while driving his 2010 Kawasaki ZX1400 motorcycle northbound on Atlanta Street. Imari Stewart, 40, also of Marietta, was driving a 2011 Infiniti G37 and was stopped at the stop sign on Old Clay Street, preparing to turn left onto Atlanta Street.

Stewart turned left onto Atlanta Street, entering Ross' path. The motorcycle struck the side of the Infinity resulting in Ross' death at the scene. Stewart was transported to Kennestone Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police believe speed was a factor on behalf of the motorcycle.
