  1. The Marietta Police Department is seeking information and witnesses in a fatal crash on Interstate 75. James Appleton of Marietta lost control of his vehicle early Sunday morning. Authorities are investigating the accident to determine the cause. (FOX 5 Atlanta)

Cobb Landmarks and the Marietta History Center placed a historic marker at the 1909 Carter House in downtown Marietta as part of an initiative to recognize historic places in Marietta's Black neighborhoods.   3. Family and friends of a woman stabbed to death in her home down the road in Buckhead held a candlelight vigil in her memory on Sunday night. The woman is believed to have been stabbed when attempting to approach someone stealing her car. (11Alive.com WXIA)
