  1. The Marietta Police Department responded to an incident involving a man waving a rifle around on the roof of a Marietta home. The incident occurred on Saturday night in the 100 block of Frances Avenue at 10:30 p.m. According to the department, officers shot the man after he pointed the rifle at officers. The individual was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (Marietta Patch)
  2. The Cobb County Board of Commissioners will be voting on the county's 2040 Comprehensive Plan on Tuesday. The plan is a long-range, community-designed strategy, meant to transform the county into an attractive investment option to raise a family or conduct business. The vote on Tuesday is for the plan's five-year update. (Cobb County Courier)
  3. The Georgia Department of Public Health has released its two-week report for COVID-19 infections in Cobb County's school-aged children. According to the report, infection rates increased in children four years or younger and 18 years or older. The infection rate remains moderate or moderately high. (Cobb County Courier)
