Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:
- The Georgia Department of Public Health has released its latest report on restaurant inspections. The report details health inspections that occurred throughout the county between Friday, Sept. 23 and Thursday, Sept. 29. Eateries on the list include Marietta's Arby's, G'Angelo's Pizza, Wendy's, and Mexico Lindo Mexican Restaurant. Click for the full report. (Cobb County Courier)
- The Senior Citizen Council of Cobb County will be hosting the Free Resources for Seniors Expo on Oct. 14. The event will be held at the Cobb Senior Wellness Center in Marietta from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Participants will receive free health insurance evaluations, free high tech phones for the hearing impaired, free Medicare counseling, and more. - Marietta Power crews have deployed to assist in Hurricane Ian recovery efforts. The crews were deployed to parts of South Carolina that were impacted by the storm. The recovery will likely take months to accomplish. Many Georgia agencies and organizations have been deployed to assist in the effort. (WSBTV)
