Several Families Displaced In Marietta Apartment Fire

The fire broke out late Friday afternoon at a Marietta apartment complex on Roswell Road.

MARIETTA, GA -- Several families were displaced late Friday afternoon when a fire broke out at a Marietta apartment complex. According to fire officials, the blaze happened at The Knolls apartment complex at 1675 Roswell Road. Firefighters discovered heavy fire and smoke showing through the roof of building 14 and worked to evacuate the building.

The damage was contained to six units inside the building. Everyone was safely evacuated from the building, including pets, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of fire remains under investigation. Officials have not released information on exactly how many families were displaced.
