- The Marietta Police Department has determined the identity of the man fatally shot at a Marietta apartment complex on Sunday. Marco Sauveur, 27, was discovered with a gunshot wound in his thigh in the 1600 block of Massachusetts Avenue. No charges have been filed in the investigation, yet. (Patch)
- A man has been arrested for concealing a woman's death at a Cobb County construction site. Authorities located 40-year-old Amanda Sharpe's body at a construction site off Ivey Road on Friday. Jake Schell, 27, was arrested and charged with concealing the death of another, tampering with evidence, credit card theft, and drug charges. He is being held in the Cobb County Jail without bond. - Marietta's Freeze Watch has been elevated to a Freeze Warning. The U.S. National Weather Service reports that temperatures will likely drop around 30 degrees through this morning. The freezing temperatures will kill crops and sensitive vegetation while damaging unprotected outdoor plumbing. (Cobb County Courier)
