- Marietta Mayor Steve Tumlin will be presenting his annual State of the City address today at 11:30 a.m. The address will be presented at Cobb Chamber's Marietta Area Council Luncheon at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel & Conference Center on Powder Springs Street. The Marietta Citizen of the Year award will also be presented at the luncheon. (Cobb County Courier)
- The Bethlehem Walk will be held at Marietta's Mountain View United Methodist Church from Saturday, Dec. 3, through Monday, Dec. 5. The free event will be from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each night. There will be overflow parking available at Davis Elementary School on Jamerson Road, with shuttles transporting people from overflow parking. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- More than 70 percent of tombstones at the Marietta National Cemetery lack a holiday wreath, and a Marietta veteran is trying to fix that. Army Veteran Tim Lemming is working with Wreaths Across America to provide more than 19,000 wreaths for the tombstones.
