Substitute Pay Raised Temporarily In Cobb Schools
Substitute teachers, supply teachers, substitute nurses and supply nurses are all eligible for the temporary pay increase through May 2022.
COBB COUNTY, GA — Substitute teachers in the Cobb County School District will soon be eligible for a temporary boost in pay, the district announced Tuesday.
Effective Sept. 6, substitute teachers, supply teachers, substitute nurses and supply nurses in the district will be eligible for pay increases through May 2022. The increase will reflect in the employees' Oct. 29 paycheck. The raise is possible due to Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding, the district said.
“Whether they are part-time, temporary, or full time, every team member can change a student’s life,” Chief Human Resources Officer Keeli Bowen said.
