  1. The Cobb County Commission has allocated $20 million for public safety pay and recruiting efforts. The funds are coming from the county's federal American Rescue Plan Act funds. Cobb County's public safety department's have a vacancy rate of 12 percent. The plan prioritizes current staff first. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art has a new Surrealist art exhibit on display. The exhibit is titled "More than Dreams: Exploring the Surreal in Art." It will be on display through Sunday, Dec. 18. The exhibit was curated by Madeline Beck, Carlos Solis, and Clemens Bak. (WABE 90.1 FM)
  3. Marietta Mayor Steve Tumlin will be delivering the 2022 State of the City address during the last Marietta Area Council meeting on Dec. 1. The address will share the mayor's vision for Marietta as well as provide updates on projects. The 2022 Marietta Citizen of the Year will be announced during the meeting.
