MARIETTA, GA — A Marietta eight grade teacher was arrested Wednesday on charges of distributing obscene material to a minor.

Matt Anderson, 37, teaches social studies and coaches varsity lacrosse and football at The Walker School, a private school in Marietta. He was arrested Wednesday, school officials told parents in an email obtained by the Marietta Daily Journal.

He was placed on administrative leave immediately and will not have access to campus or school technology, school officials said.
