Two Alleged Ghost Face Gangsters Arrested In Marietta
The two suspects were arrested Monday afternoon in a Delk Road Motel 6 parking lot.
MARIETTA, GA -- Two alleged members of the Ghost Face gangsters were arrested Monday at a Delk Road Motel 6. Jason Douglas, 38, of Lookout Mountain, Georgia and Laura Abbott, 40, of Rising Fawn, Georgia, were arrested near the motel lobby. Police were conducting a zone patrol of the area when they said they observed multiple Ghost Face gang identifiers on the two, and began a conversation with them in the parking lot.
Police said the conversation began as consensual until the officers found Douglas had an outstanding warrant for parole violation. A short altercation ensued while the officers placed Douglas in handcuffs.
During the fight, police said Abbott tried to destroy evidence and was also taken into custody. Police said they found 40 grams of methamphetamine on Douglas when he was arrested, with an approximate street value of $3,000. After being read his rights, police said Douglas confirmed he is the active statewide coordinator for the Ghost Face gang.
