WellStar Honored For Being A Top Company For Women Executives
For the eighth straight year, WellStar named one of the Top 10 Nonprofit Companies for Executive Women.

MARIETTA, GA -- The Wellstar Health System in Cobb County is being nationally recognized as a leading company for women executives.
The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) named WellStar one of the Top 10 Nonprofit Companies for Executive Women for 2017, the group said.
The honor highlights companies and organizations that have proven to foster progressive environments that allow women to earn advancement through their ranks.

“At WellStar, we are always looking for opportunities to support our team and create opportunities for growth,” Candice Saunders, president & CEO of WellStar Health System, said in a statement. “As a not-for-profit health system, we have an unwavering focus on providing excellent patient care. By building a strong team of dynamic caregivers, we are better able to care for our patients.”
WellStar offers a spectrum of benefits aimed at achieving a work-life balance for its many employees, the company said, including on-site child care, backup support for elderly relatives and concierge service.

“The NAFE ‘Top 10 Nonprofit Companies’ are the leaders in the U.S. that have moved women into top executive positions and created a culture where talented women are nurtured, promoted and thrive,” NAFE President Betty Spence was quoted as saying. “We are very proud to honor their contribution to the advancement of women in the workplace.”
WellStar has earned a spot on the list for eight years in a row.
