Legendary Cowtippers May Close And Be Replaced By A Bank

First it was an Old Hickory House, then Cowtippers. Now, a restaurant site that has been operating for 25 years may now become a Chase Bank.

ATLANTA, GA -- A longtime Midtown Atlanta iconic restaurant may once again be facing closure. Cowtippers Steaks & Spirits, which used to be the site of an Old Hickory House, may soon close and be replaced by a Chase Bank. Cowtippers has been in business since 1993, and is owned by Metrotainment Cafes.

According to Tomorrow's News Today, an Atlanta BeltLine review committee heard from a representative of Chase Bank. Metrotainment Cafes has confirmed the property is for sale. The restaurant is located near the corner of Piedmont Road and Monroe Drive.

A deal that was put together last year would have sold the property and closed the restaurant back in January 2018, but the deal never come to fruition.
