Midtown Dance Club Leaving Area
The club commonly known as 'Red Door' is closing for good, leaving behind a mixed legacy of good times and violent crimes.

MIDTOWN, GA -- A popular Midtown nightclub that became a mecca for fans of electronic dance music (EDM) is stopping the party and moving on after a decade in the neighborhood, according to a report.
Spring4th, Legacy, and Quad, commonly known as “Red Door,” has decided to relocate to Campbellton Road after the club’s landlord bought out their rent and sold the property to developers, Creative Loafing says.
Dubstep icons like Skrillex and Flux Pavilion have performed at Red Door, and under the Legacy name the club has hosted wrestling matches and goth-themed events, according to Creative Loafing. However, not every memory has been a pleasant one.

A fatal shooting near the club in October of 2012 temporarily closed the club, and another shooting last year left a man paralyzed.
The property that was once home to Red Door will be converted into a mixed-use space with ground-level retail and 300 student dormitories, Creative Loafing says.
