Uber Launches Rewards Pilot Program In Atlanta

Uber Rewards is a new program letting customers earn rewards every time they use Uber or Uber Eats.

ATLANTA, GA -- Uber is launching a pilot program in Atlanta that allows its customers to earn rewards every time they use Uber or Uber Eats. There are four membership levels: blue, gold, platinum and diamond, and anyone can sign up to join at no additional cost. Once users sign up, they can start earning one point for every eligible dollar spent on UberPool and Uber Eats orders; two points for UberX, UberXL, Select, and WAV; and three points for Black and Black SUV. Once they earn 500 points, they advance from blue to gold.

At 2,500 points they advance to Platinum, and at 7,500 points, they advance to Diamond. Earnings periods are six months long, and are tied to the date they signed up to join the program. Once a tier is unlocked, the customer has that tier for the remaining earnings period, and the next six months.

Uber said in a statement that its customers have told them they want to see a return on their everyday spend, and care about price consistency, being on time, and the quality of their experience.
