First Friday Concert in Downtown Monroe

Funky Bluester and Rockasaurus were in town for a First Friday concert.

The weather finally cooperated and a crowd was able to head to downtown Monroe Friday for the August First Friday Concert. Funky Bluester and Rockasaurus were the scheduled entertainment and for the first time in a couple of months, the show was able to go on without the interruption of storm clouds.

There will be a second concert this month. The Jagged Stones are scheduled to make up their June Concert, which didn't survive the weather. They are scheduled to take the state at 7 p.m. on Aug. 16.
