Lock Up Your Garden Tools - Reports of Thefts in Walton County

The following cases were investigated by the Walton County Sheriff's Office during the period July 29 - 31. In addition to sundry items stolen from properties, a laptop and backpack were stolen out of a resident's vehicle. This report was compiled from the WCSO Zone Alerts. 

Zone 1

• Theft – A garden tiller was taken from an outbuilding at a residence on Hwy 138. 

Zone 3

• Extra Patrol – A subject in Peyton Woods requested extra patrol in reference to hearing someone around his residence and his dog barking.
• Extra Patrol – Tire marks were found in the driveway of a residence on Ridgeway Drive in Ridgebrook Farms. Extra patrol was requested. 
• Theft – A washtub and other items that were left beside a driveway on Preston Rd. were reported missing. Extra patrol was requested.

Zone 4

• Theft – Two American flags were taken from the end of a driveway at a residence on Emmett Doster Rd.

Zone 5

• Theft – A utility trailer was taken from a residence on Shannon Rd.
• Burglary – Items were taken from a vacant residence on Piney Grove Rd.

 Zone 6

• Entering Auto – A backpack and laptop were taken from a vehicle on Stonecrest Place.
• Damage to Property – A brick mailbox was damaged on Rabbit Farm Rd. 

Zone 7

• Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Monroe Drive in Lake Monroe Landing.
• Juvenile Problem – Juveniles were reportedly looking into vehicles on Pebble Place in Stonecrest Estates.
