Obituary: Marjorie Malcom, 96, of Monroe

Marjorie Malcom, age 96 of Monroe, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Mt. Vernon Christian Church with Rev. Kader White officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Malcom was a deaconess and choir member of Mt. Vernon Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurmond Ansel Malcom and her daughter, Patty Anderson. She is survived by her son, Ansel Malcom of Virginia; grandchildren, Joel Malcom, John Anderson, both of Monroe, Jacob Malcom of Connecticut, Addie Simkovich & Will Malcom, both of Virginia; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
