Some Key Facts About the Atlanta Falcons
The team has begun preparations for the 2013 season.
The Atlanta Falcons, who once trained in Suwanee, opened their 2013 training camp Wednesday (July 24) in Flowery Branch.
Here are five key facts about the team and the upcoming season:
- PRESEASON OPENER: Thursday, Aug. 8, at Georgia Dome vs. Cincinnati (8 p.m.)
- SEASON OPENER: Sunday, Sept. 1, at New Orleans.
- NEW FACES: RB Steven Jackson, DE Osi Umenyinora.
- KEY DEPARTURES: RB Michael Turner, DE John Abraham.
- 2: Number of division titles the Falcons have won since Mike Smith took over as head coach in 2008.
