Celebrate the Spooky at Dia de los Muertos Fun Run
Sagamore Hills Elementary will host the festivities, which include mariachi music, face painting, and food from Taqueria el Vecino.

In honor of the Mexican holiday that celebrates both life and death, Sagamore Hills Elementary School is hosting a Dia de los Muertos Festival, 5K, and Skull Sprint on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Kicking off the day’s festivities is the 5K Fun Run, which begins at 10:30 a.m and follows a course beginning at the school and ending on the track behind it. Runners can register for the race for $25, and all proceeds from the event will go towards Sagamore Hills Elementary.
The one mile Skull Sprint will begin at noon and is free for children aged 13 and under.

Participants can register for both fun runs online.
Every registered participant will receive a free, commemorative Dia de los Muertos tee-shirt.

Lasting from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Dia de los Muertos Festival will have plenty of activities and entertainment for both kids and adults, including performances from a mariachi band and sugar skull face painting. Taqueria el Vecino will also be stationed at the school to sell homestyle Mexican cuisine.
