Elderly Woman Robbed Outside Northlake Deli

The 75-year-old Atlanta woman was returning to her car with her food outside Jason's Deli on Monday evening when the incident occurred.

An elderly woman was robbed outside a Northlake deli Monday evening, DeKalb County police said.

The 75-year-old Atlanta woman had just placed food from Jason's Deli, 4073 Lavista Rd., on the floor of the front passenger's side of her car and was getting into the driver's seat when a man hopped into the back seat just after 6pm, the police report said.

The man put an unknown object to the victim's neck and demanded money. The woman gave him $80. The suspect then demanded she drive to an ATM to get more money, the report said. As the car approached Weems Road, the victim told the suspect she didn't have an ATM card or more money with her.
