Group of Men Drag Woman, Steal Purse at Apartment Complex

The woman said she was robbed while crossing the parking lot at the Park at Briarcliff apartment complex April 3.

Several men dragged a woman across the ground and stole her purse in the apartment complex April 3, DeKalb County police said – just hours after a .

The 25-year-old woman said she was crossing the parking lot at the complex, 1493 Druid Valley Dr., when five men approached her, the police report said.

"Shorty, I'm gonna need you to give me that purse," said one of the suspects after he pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the victim.

When the woman said no, a second suspect grabbed her from behind. The woman broke free, the report said, and ran, but she was grabbed by one or several of the suspects. She was dragged on the ground, and one of the suspects took her purse.

The group of suspects was last seen walking north in the apartment complex. The woman was not injured.

The gun-toting suspect was described as a light-skinned Hispanic or black male between 17 and 24 years old. He was about 5 feet 10-11 inches tall with a slim build and had short, curly hair. He wore a dark, hooded sweatshirt with yellow lettering.
