No One Injured As Flames Engulf Abandoned North Druid Business

Firefighters arrived on North Druid Road to find the building once occupied by Reggie's Hairstyling on fire. No cause has been determined.

NORTH DRUID HILLS, GA – No one was injured in a fire that engulfed an abandoned business on North Druid Hills Road Tuesday night.

Firefighters from the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department arrived shortly after 9 p.m. to find smoke and flames pouring from the building, which is located on North Druid Road near Clairmont Road, fire officials said Wednesday.

Firefighters battled the blaze from the ground and aerial units helped to control the fire. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire. According to photos, the building once occupied Reggie's Hairstyling, which had closed, leaving the building abandoned.

A department spokesperson said investigators are looking into some leads for what could have caused the fire and cited the open investigation when asked if foul play is suspected in the fire.

The spokesman told Patch officials hope to have an update on the investigation either later Wednesday or early Thursday.
