Once an Arby's, Now a Kitsch'n 155
An out-of-towner drove through Decatur recently and found himself falling in love with Kitsch'n 155 on Clairmont Road.
Although the North Druid Hills-Briarcliff area really has no downtown area, no Main Street, no central anything to speak of, we do seem to have a number of establishments that people seem to view as recreational destinations.
One Chicagoan believes we should count Kitsch'n 155 among them.
Lee Bey was in town recently and stumbled upon the re-designed Arby's building and had a meal. And he loved it apparently.

Stewart and his wife Lisa restored and remodeled the former Arby's into the current retro-style restaurant where burgers are big--and good--and the shakes are creamy. There is no drive-through; bathrooms are around back. Lisa said the biggest revelation was finding and restoring an original lighted, curved ceiling hiding above a dropped-ceiling added after Arby's vacated the building. The find makes all the difference.
