Shallowford Publix Worker Carjacked at Gunpoint

An employee of on Shallowford Road was carjacked at gunpoint in the supermarket's parking lot April 28, DeKalb County police said.
The 21-year-old victim was sitting in his car, getting ready to start his shift at the store when he noticed the first suspect walking around his vehicle at about 10:30am, the police report said. The suspect tapped the driver's side window with a black, semi-automatic handgun and said, "Hand me the keys."
The victim told police he opened the door and handed the suspect the keys. He got out of the car and began walking toward the supermarket when the suspect also asked for his cell phone as well. When he handed over the phone, the victim said he also saw a second suspect and heard a woman's voice in the background.

The vehicle was later found at Huntington Station Apartments, 2300 Pilgrim Way, and several witnesses said they saw the suspects running toward the entrance of , but officers could not locate the suspects.
The victim said he remembered tattoos on both wrists of the first suspect. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He wore black and gray gloves with a white T-shirt, brown shorts and a blue bandanna.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male about 5 feet tall and 100 pounds. He wore a white T-shirt, blue shorts, a blue bandanna and black sunglasses.
