The Week in Review

Last week's top five stories in North Druid Hills-Briarcliff Patch.

  1. Arguments for Walmart Posted in Clairmont Heights: More Walmart-Suburban Plaza drama. And don't expect the spigot to shut off anytime soon. Plenty of stories to be written about this ongoing story, which seems to get more interesting as time goes on.
  2. Civic Association to 'Embrace Green Space' with Race: This wasn't a huge story, but I think it's a pretty cool idea. And it sounds like something people should support. Green space is good. Patch is in the process of touring all the parks in our community. There's a lot of them, including ones not on this list.
  3. Lakeside Lax Team Improves to 3-0: Great news from Lakeside's first foray into the lacrosse world. It'll be interesting to see how the team does as time moves on.
  4. Man Lends Helping Hand, Gets Robbed at Gunpoint in North Decatur: Almost a Good Samaritan story but not quite. Unfortunate nonetheless. Sort of reinforces the depressing idea that you have to be cautious before helping almost anyone.
  5. Santorum: I've Fought for Conservative Issues: Obligatory presidential race coverage. Not a whole lot of substance to these kinds of events. But, hey, with the video clip and the story and the photos, you can get a sense of what you did or did not miss and whether any of it means anything at all to you.
