Woman Robbed at Knifepoint for iPhone In North Decatur

The robbery occurred at The Orleans of Decatur apartment complex off DeKalb Industrial Way on Sunday afternoon.

A woman was robbed at knifepoint for her iPhone while leaving her apartment in North Decatur on Sunday afternoon, DeKalb County police said.

The 25-year-old victim heard the fire alarm sound in her apartment in , 403 Reserve Ct., at about 2:45pm, the police report said. She left her apartment while talking on her cell phone and walked toward the parking deck.

When she got to deck's top level, she was struck on the back of the head and scratched on the left arm as she fell to the ground. She told police she turned over and saw the suspect – who smelled of alcohol – holding a silver knife with a black handle. He grabbed her phone and left.

The suspect was described as a black male about 6 feet tall and 220 pounds with a medium complexion. He also wore a black jacket and black pants.
