First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta is now accepting applications for the 2026 cohort of its Epiphany program, a faith-based social entrepreneurship incubator supporting startups tackling today’s most pressing challenges. Epiphany is an evergreen initiative that equips entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions to social issues with funding, mentorship, and strategic guidance. If you are an emerging founder with a vision to address societal challenges often overlooked by traditional markets, Epiphany offers the resources needed to help your venture grow. Examples of qualifying ventures include businesses that employ formerly incarcerated individuals or adults with developmental challenges, as well as enterprises offering services such as coding training for refugees or mechanical skills development in low-income communities. Since its launch, Epiphany has awarded nearly half a million dollars in grants and supported multiple successful ventures, including Refuge Coffee Co., PadSplit, and Purposeful Gourmet Foods. A Marietta man working inside a vacant home for sale near said he was struck on the head and robbed Wednesday afternoon, DeKalb County police said. The 27-year-old victim was alone in a home in the 2700 block of Janellen Dr., working in the front bathroom area when someone struck him on the back of the head shortly after 1pm, the police report said. The front door had been unlocked. The victim fell to the ground and said he could feel someone going through his pockets but did not see his assailant. When police arrived, the victim was treated but refused transport for additional medical attention. The victim told police the robber made away with his wallet, his driver's license and various documents together worth about $12.
