1 Injured, 2 Charged In Gwinnett Road Rage Shooting

Two metro Atlanta residents are facing several charges after road rage and a physical dispute led to a shooting that injured a person.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — A road rage shooting in Peachtree Corners left a person injured and resulted in the arrests of two people, Gwinnett County Police said Wednesday.

Police said the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident on Nov. 25 in the 3400 block of Holcomb Bridge Road.

The occupants of two vehicles engaged in a dispute in a parking lot, flashing headlights at one another, before the suspect left their white BMW and approached the other car, police said.

Subsequently, a physical altercation that occurred between the occupants led to a shooting, and a person was injured, police said. The status of the person's condition was unknown on Wednesday.

Police identified the suspects as Paola Nicole Crus Pena, 21, and David Jesus Ravelo Cedeno, 25, both of Riverdale. They were both arrested without incident in Riverdale, police said.

Pena was charged on suspicion of aggravated assault, tampering with evidence and battery, police said.

Cedeno was charged on suspicion of three counts of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, tampering with evidence, unauthorized discharge of a firearm within 50 yards of a public roadway, discharging a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and reckless conduct.

They are both being held at the Gwinnett County Jail, police said.
