HOT Lane Expansion Proposed for Gwinnett

A public forum on the HOT Lane Expansion proposed for Gwinnett County is scheduled for Thursday, March 21 from 4-7 p.m. at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.

Sen. Curt Thompson (D-Tucker) will attend to discuss a proposal to extend express lanes along Interstate 85, which would add 10 miles to the 16-mile stretch converted to high-occupancy toll lanes in October 2011.

This $95 million project proposal would be funded by Georgia’s gas tax, and collected tolls would go toward maintenance of the system.
