(ICYMI) 2 Rescued After Getting Stranded in Chattahoochee

In case you missed it: Gwinnett and Johns Creek fire departments responded to the incident Wednesday night near Jones Bridge Park.

Two people were rescued Wednesday night after they became stranded on rocks in the middle of the Chattahoochee River, according to Gwinnett Fire.

The incident happened near Jones Bridge Park in Peachtree Corners around 9:21 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

The Gwinnett and Johns Creek fire departments worked together to rescue the victims.

“Gwinnett had a crew that was able to get a visual on the subjects from the riverbank and they guided the Johns Creek [rescue] boat to the victims,” Gwinnett Fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said. “They were removed on the Gwinnett side by Johns Creek FD.”
