Man Swerved, Hit And Killed Other Driver: Police
Police say he swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid rear-ending a car, but ended up killing the driver of another car.
PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA — Gwinnett County police are investigating a fatal crash which happened on Monday, Nov. 11, according to a release from the department.
According to police, Chequan Burkett, 25, of Peachtree Corners, was driving north on Peachtree Corners Circle around 11:15 a.m. As he approached Jones Mill Spur, he told police, the car in front of him slammed their brakes, causing him to swerve.
He went into oncoming traffic, the release says, and crashed head-on into another car. Min Kim, 37, of Hartwell, was driving the other car and died from the crash.

Burkett was charged with second degree vehicular homicide and failure to maintain a lane, the release says. He's out of jail on bond.
