New Mediterranean Eatery Opens In Peachtree Corners

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA, – Fortunately for residents and visitors alike, there are a number of great places to eat in Gwinnett County’s largest city. And now there’s another one to enjoy -- Pita’ria. The new restaurant, which serves a variety of Mediterranean dishes, celebrated its official opening on Wednesday, July 11 with a ribbon-cutting event.

The new eatery is located in the Villages at Peachtree Corners shopping center on the corner of Peachtree Parkway and Peachtree Corners Circle. Inside the décor is casual with seating for about 50 or so. The menu features a number of platters including Shawarma platters, kabobs, sandwiches and wraps, salads and several sides. And of course, Baklava for dessert. The restaurant also serves fountain drinks, canned and bottled sodas, bottled water and coffee.

At the helm of the family-owned restaurant is long-time restauranteur Becker Nafal, who was convinced by his two adult sons, both who live in the area, to sell his Mediterranean-themed restaurant in Florida and move lock, stock and barrel to Peachtree Corners. They, along with Nafal and other family members, run Pita’ria. Nafal brings a wealth of restaurant experience – and his renowned Tzatziki sauce which he’s been making and serving for 20 years.

“We are delighted to welcome Pita’ria and the Nafal family to Peachtree Corners,” said Mayor Mike Mason during the ribbon-cutting event. “Their new restaurant is just across the street from the new Town Center, so they’ve selected a great location. We wish them much success.”
