Peachtree Corners engineer establishes Hester Consulting
Award-winning leader launches smart building and energy management consulting firm
Award-winning engineer John Hester of Peachtree Corners has launched Hester Consulting, LLC. A multi-function consulting firm, Hester Consulting provides specialized COVID-19 building solutions, as well as smart building and energy management consulting services, to building management teams, as well as “off-the-bench” support to consulting firms when their business demands exceed available resources and/or they require knowledge in our areas of expertise. The firm also lends its expertise to building operations and program management.
Hester brings 35 years of experience as an in-house facility professional in commercial building operations. Prior to forming Hester Consulting, he spearheaded the installation of the largest smart building project in the world. His leadership with Warner Media’s smart building system at 30 Hudson Yards resulted in the company earning the prestigious H. Bruce Russell Global Innovator's Award by CoreNet Global.
Hester was awarded ASHRAE’s Engineer of the Year in Industry by the Atlanta chapter and was named Association of Energy Engineers’ (AEE) Energy Manager of The Year. A licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Energy Manager, he is a member of ASHRAE and AEE. Hester received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University, formerly GMI.
