Wesleyan Kicker Dedicates Season To Helping Kids With Cancer

Jeffrey "Harrison" Larner is dedicating his senior football season to kids with cancer as a Kick-It Champion.

PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA In an effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against childhood cancer, Wesleyan High School kicker/punter, Jeffrey “Harrison” Larner is dedicating his senior football season to kids with cancer as a Kick-It Champion. Harrison will accept donations and pledges for every field goal and extra point he makes during the 2018 football season – his goal is to make 60 points this season. All donations received will benefit childhood cancer research through Kick-It, powered by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, or ALSF.

Harrison first learned about ALSF at Kohl’s Kicking Camp. After hearing director Jamie Kohl speak about the impact Kick-It Champions can make on the lives of kids with cancer, Harrison was inspired to participate. “My dad was diagnosed with stage IV brain cancer (GBM) in 2014,” said Harrison. “Through his fight against cancer, I realized the importance of medical research to help end this horrible disease.” Harrison hopes to raise $1,000 which will fund over two days of childhood cancer research.

The Kick-It Champion program was started by All-State Ohio football player Matt Colella who battled cancer as a middle school student. His commitment to help others inspired his community and athletes around the country to become Kick-It Champions for children with cancer.
