2 Trapped By Trench Collapse Safe In Cobb

POWDER SPRINGS, GA — Two people are safe after being trapped in a trench collapse Wednesday at Hill Road in Powder Springs, Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services said.

One of the two people was able to get themselves out of the trench, while the second person had to be extricated with use of a collapse truck, fire officials said. The person was in stable condition, fire officials said.

The pair was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment, fire officials said. It is unknown what led to the collapse.
