Teen Fatally Stabbed, 2 Injured In Cobb

A fight involving several juveniles led to the stabbings of three boys and murder charges for two more teens in Cobb County, police say.

POWDER SPRINGS, GA — A 17-year-old Dallas boy is dead after a fight escalated to a stabbing Sunday evening in a Powder Springs parking lot, police said Monday.

Powder Springs Police said officers responded around 6:30 p.m. to the 4400 block of Brownsville Road after a fight involving several juveniles led to the fatal stabbing.

When officers arrived, a crowd of mostly juveniles surrounded the entrance of a nearby restaurant. Police said they arrived at Brownsville for the purpose of fighting.

Two male juveniles, ages unknown, suffered stab wounds during the dispute and were taken to local hospitals, police said.

A third male who was also stabbed died of his injuries while at the hospital, police said. They identified him as William Renfro.

Officers have arrested Markevon Wiliams, 17, of Powder Springs, and an unnamed juvenile on charges of murder, kidnapping, aggravated battery and aggravated assault, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
