  1. An early morning crash on GA-400 left two people dead on Tuesday, June 27. The accident occurred around 4 a.m. on GA-400 North within the Roswell city limits between the Northridge Road and Holcomb Bridge Road exits. The identities of the victims have yet to be released and a cause for the accident has yet to be determined. Northbound lanes were closed for about 4 hours while police investigated the scene. 2. Over the last year, the Roswell Arts Fund has been creating a new art and performance installation in which the public can interact and engage with. The work is an exploration of Roswell's response to nature and is titled "ArtAround: Pathways." The exhibit is comprised of a collection of over 30 pieces of art, an array of performances, and artist-led workshops. The project is a part of the Roswell’s Public Art Master Plan, which was drafted in 2017. The installation is free to view and will be on display at the Don White Park until the end of September. 3. Crystal Whitman, the morning and midday news anchor at WRBL-TV in Columbus, Georgia, has been crowned Miss Georgia for America Strong 2023. The ceremony took place on June 25 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Roswell. Whitman is said to have created a great rapport with the judges, shared her journey as a survivor of domestic violence, and encouraged women and young girls to love themselves. She will compete in the national Miss for America Strong competition that will take place Aug. 24 through Aug. 26 in Las Vegas. (Newsbreak)
  4. On June 6, an employee at Roswell Area Park noticed and reported areas that had been burned on the park's playground. Officers responded to the call and also found that a towel dispenser in the women’s bathroom was also damaged. Paper towels and mulch were used to cause the burn areas on the playground. A can of spray deodorant that was wrapped in charred paper towels was also discovered in a trashcan. The Roswell Police Department has yet to disclose a dollar amount for the damage that was done. The case is still being investigated by the police department. (Appen Media)
