- A home located in the State Street at Devereux Downs neighborhood in Roswell is being talked about amongst the local real estate community. On Aug. 25, the 6 bedroom and 5.5 bathroom home sold for $1,075,000. The homes unique and custom interior features are what made this home stand out on the market. The home and neighborhood is said to be a "private retreat" in the heart of busy Roswell. Realtors have said that this home is the prime example of real estate opportunities in the city. (Newsbreak)
- The city's police department has plans to apply for a $25,560 FY 2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant. The money will be used to buy EDR Tool Kits that will allow the department to conduct accident reconstruction investigations and speed reduction.
$10,600 of these funds are to be used for an Event Data Recorder (EDR) Tool Kits for Kia, Hyundai and Tesla vehicles. $14,960 will be spent on eight Dragon Eye Technology Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) units. Serious injury and fatal accidents will be able to be reconstructed with the EDRs. LIDAR units are used for detect a vehicle's speed. The police department will not have make a monetary match to be awarded this grant. (Paywall: AJC) - Three long-time standing Chinese restaurants in Roswell have been brought to the attention of the local culinary connoisseur, Explore Georgia. The Thai House has been in business for more than 30 years. Its customers are loyal, not only for the taste of their food, but also for their friendly service, and professionalism. China Garden has been a staple in Roswell for 45 years. They have made a name around town for their General Tso chicken, sesame chicken, and soups. The Panda Café also made the list. They offer New York-style Chinese food and is recommended for their affordable prices. (Newsbreak)

- City of Roswell, Georgia Fire Department: The Roswell FD is celebrating some milestones for some of its members. Firefighter Jack Allen has been with the department for 25 years. Battalion Chief Ken Fisher, Firefighter Richard Hill, Firefighter Jimmy Staples are celebrating 13 years with the Roswell FD. (City of Roswell, Georgia Fire Department via X)
- City of Roswell, Georgia Government: 100 free public parking places are now available to the public in the downtown area. The city has created parking spaces at the south end of Canton Street, (on the corner of Magnolia Street & Mimosa Boulevard) where the old Wells Fargo bank was once located. - Roswell Inc: Get ready for the Corporate Eco Challenge on September 7. This event is hosted by the Chattahoochee Nature Center. The challenge is modeled in a "Scavenger" and/or the "Amazing Race style and format. This competition is great for groups and corporations who are looking for a team-building activity. - The Drake House: The Drake House is looking for people to join the Drake House Advisory Council. This group helps raise awareness for the charity and is involved in the community. The deadline to apply for membership to this council is Sept. 10. (The Drake House via Instagram)
