  1. Residents in the Roswell neighborhood where antisemitic flyers were left in driveways last month hope a recent video will assist police in their ongoing investigation of the incident. The video was recorded on a residential security camera. It shows someone driving a white car through the neighborhood and a passenger was tossing small bags out of the window. Georgia Sen. Josh McLaurin said that albeit the First Amendment rights in this country gives individuals a lot of freedom, there are "legal ways to prosecute for it." The Roswell Police Department is also reviewing other security footage from around the area in their investigation. (WSB TV)
  2. More than $152,000 in scholarships and grants was donated to educational and nonprofit initiatives in North Fulton County by the Roswell Woman's Club. The generous gift was given at an awards ceremony at Jeffords Hall on May 9. Graduating seniors from the Fulton Science Academy, The Cottage School and Roswell High School, Centennial High School, Blessed Trinity Catholic High School, and from other schools in North Fulton were awarded scholarships. Twenty-seven grants were also given to nonprofits in the community. (Appen Media)
  3. Property tax assessment notices were recently mailed to residents in Fulton County. The City of Roswell has received many questions from residents asking about the notice and specifically, what they are seeing reported as their estimated taxes. The city has dedicated a page on their website to answer questions that citizens may have. They want residents to know that these notices are required to be mailed by law, the assessment does not reflect the new tax rate, and it may not reflect a recent Homestead Exemption that one has qualified for. The City of Roswell also wants residents to know that they can appeal the assessment. (Roswell Gov)
