Burglar Stole 18 Cartons Of Cigarettes From Roswell Store: Cops

The cigarettes, which are valued at $918, were taken during a Jan. 8 burglary at Chevron at 1360 Holcomb Bridge Road.

ROSWELL, GA — Roswell police continue to search for a man accused of breaking into a convenience store and taking more than a dozen packets of cigarettes earlier this week.

The burglary was reported around 1:59 a.m. Jan. 8 at Chevron at 1360 Holcomb Bridge Road. According to Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta, the subject "spent a great deal of time" avoiding detection while trying to pry open the store's front door with a crow bar.

Once he's inside the store, the male took 18 cartons of Newport cigarettes valued at $918, according to a Roswell Police Department incident report. Crime Stoppers said he also removed a non-working mobile device from the store.

The male subject was wearing red, white and black Nike shoes, an Atlanta Falcons Nike hoodie, Crime Stoppers added on its Facebook page. He also appears to be wearing light blue gloves and gray pants. Anyone with information about the incident or the suspected burglar is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404 577-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous.
