  1. The North Fulton Community Improvement District (CID), a "self-taxing district that uses additional property taxes to identify, accelerate, and finance infrastructure projects and programs," has re-elected three of their board members during their yearly Caucus of Electors on June 6. Tim Perry, Tina Renee McCall, and Nick Nicolosi have been re-elected and will each serve four-year terms. The North Fulton CID collaborates with property owners and partner organizations to "enhance the prosperity of Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell." The group works on improvements to roadways and intersections, trails, bus shelter programs, and many other projects. (Appen Media)
  2. Roswell's Canton Street Promenade Task Force has suddenly decided not to continue with their work. At their second meeting on Tuesday, the 7-member group unanimously voted to cease working on the project. They suggested that the city hire an independent urban planner to perform an economic study on how partially closing Canton Street would affect weekend traffic in the district. They also told city government that they would be willing to reconvene after a professional study is done. Their decision was met by applause from those in attendance. Roswell Councilwoman Lee Hills said that the city continues to be "on track" for the promenade project and is hopeful that an economic survey will be conducted. (Newsbreak)
  3. An altercation that occurred after a road rage incident at the Krystal fast food restaurant on Holcomb Bridge ended with three people being arrested at Roswell City Hall. The report states that a green BMW hit a silver Honda as it was exiting the parking lot. This resulted in a dispute between the two drivers and a passenger of one of the vehicles. A green GMC then pulled into the lot and tried to prohibit the BMW from driving away. It is then said that the GMC began to follow the BMW around the lot. Surveillance footage shows the driver of the GMC driver exit his vehicle and strike a window on the BMW with an object. The drivers left the scene and went to City Hall; three people were arrested. The Roswell Police Department charged the driver and passenger of the Honda with riotous conduct. The driver of the GMC received a citation for simple assault and reckless driving. (Appen Media)
