  1. A new cookie shop is coming to Roswell in August. The cookie connoisseur, Dirty Dough, will share their “super-stuffed cookie bombs” to the city. Lizzy Bullock is a co-franchisee for the establishment that will open on Marietta Highway. The company's website states that “You won’t find a thicker, softer, more gooey or flavorful cookie than the ones from Dirty Dough.” Bullock also plans to open another franchise in her home state of Tennessee. 2. North Fulton Community Charities provides various forms of aid to about 10,000 people in Roswell and surrounding cities. Many don't know; however, that the charity also offers an English as a second language program. The course is available only three times a year and runs for 15 weeks. In order to keep the course easily accessible to those who need it, no admission fee or personal identification is required to join. Sandy Holiday, the NFCC executive director, said that individuals who come to the U.S. without knowing English are "the most challenged in our communities, because they don’t know how to advocate for themselves.” Those interested in joining this program can visit North Fulton Community Charities for more information. 3. The Roswell Police Department and the Friends of the Roswell Police is bringing its 3rd annual car show to town on Sunday. The much-anticipated Cops 'N' Cars Car Show will showcase antique, classic, and unique vehicles at the Roswell City Hall. It costs $35 to enter a car into the show. The event, however, is perfect for the entire family and is free to the public. There will also be food, fun, music, and games. The car show will begin at 11 a.m. (Newsbreak)
